Although there are photographs that were apparentley taken in 1910 that show kites tha the made.The kites that can be seen seem to look to be out of an even earlier time.
The wings could be easily removed through a special system that Cody had invented.
This made the kites easier to repair after a crash.
Jan Desimpelaere also made one of these kites and it flew very well.
